In a study done prior to COVID pandemic, nearly 90% of the population had experienced trauma at least once in their lives. And exposure to multiple traumatic events was the norm (Kilpatrick DG, Resnick HS, Milanak ME, Miller MW, Keyes KM, Friedman MJ). You are not alone.

At JC Herrett Consulting, we recognize the challenges faced by individuals, families, and couples, such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, communication difficulties, and other mental health issues. Therapist Jocelyn Herrett works closely with clients to identify their specific needs and goals, developing personalized treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcomes. Herrett employs a trauma-informed approach to therapy, ensuring that each session is supportive and effective. We provide a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential environment for all clients to receive the care they need.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have extended health benefits, double check that they will pay for Registered Social Workers. Even if not covered by benefits, you can keep the receipts for your taxes at the end of the year.

Is therapy confidential? Yes therapy is confidential. We take privacy and confidentiality very seriously, and we adhere to the highest ethical standards. We only share information with third parties with the written consent of the client, except in situations where we are required by law to disclose information (e.g., if a client is at risk of harm to themselves or others).

How long does therapy usually take? The length of therapy can vary depending on the individual and the nature of their mental health challenges. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. We work collaboratively with our clients to determine the best course of treatment for their needs.

How can I schedule an appointment? Call us at 778-638-0525. Alison will arrange the first available appointment once pre-approval has been received.
